Meet the 2026 Producing the Future Cohort!

Meet the Producing the Future 2026 cohort – a new wave of emerging event producers stepping into the fast-moving world of live events and creative production. This year marks a defining moment for the programme as it launches in Glasgow for the very first time, expanding into a new city and embedding itself within Glasgow’s vibrant and culturally rich creative scene.

We are proud to welcome 11 exceptional young individuals, aged 18–25, each bringing their own perspective, ambition, and creative voice to the cohort. Over the coming months, they will develop the core skills essential to event production, including creative programming, technical production, project management, budgeting, and marketing, while also building a strong foundation for career development within the wider events industry.

Blending structured learning with real-world application, the programme is designed to move beyond theory. Participants will benefit from guest lectures led by industry professionals, as well as guidance from their tutor Serena Piotto, gaining direct insight into the realities of the sector, while also working collaboratively with Be United to design, plan, and deliver an original live event! From concept through to execution.

Programme tutor Serena Piotto shared:

This is the first year for PTF in Glasgow and it is also the biggest cohort so far! There are a lot of creative minds in the group and they all seem ready to take on any challenges coming. I am looking forward to this year’s event and seeing how everyone grows and learns to work together.”
