Meet the Be United Brand Ambassadors

We’re proud to introduce our Be United Brand Ambassadors – a talented team of passionate creatives and Producing the Future programme alumni who will act as the face and voice of Be United in their respective cities and communities as part of the Next Level Employability programme.

The Next Level Employability programme is a pilot programme, designed to engage past programme graduates and Be United community members as active representatives of our work. Ambassadors play a vital role in connecting us with audiences, artists, industry stakeholders and partners across Scotland. Their presence strengthens relationships, increases visibility, and ensures that Be United’s mission is impactful and far-reaching.

Through this programme, Ambassadors gain hands-on experience in marketing and communications, business development, engagement, research, and reporting, among other areas. This professional development supports both the continued success of Be United and their individual professional growth, preparing them for future opportunities within marketing, business development, and the creative sectors.

Ambassadors are at the forefront of our efforts to build stronger creative communities, amplify Black creative voices, and celebrate the performing arts, screen, and cultural events sectors. They embody the values of empowerment, excellence, and equity, bringing energy and insight to every event, initiative, and campaign they support.

Monika Navickaitė, Marketing, Media, and Communications Lead at Be United, who oversees the Next Level Employability programme and leads on participant training, shared:

The Next Level Employability programme is incredibly valuable, as it gives our Producing the Future alumni an opportunity for sustainable professional growth.

I believe what truly sets this programme apart is that it provides real, paid experience within a cultural organisation. They’ve participated in training across branding, social media and communications, safeguarding, events reporting, administrative work and more. This hands-on involvement allows them to hone their skills, build confidence, and feel prepared to take the next steps in their career journey.

We have four bright and talented professionals as our Brand Ambassadors this year, supported by a wonderful Brand Ambassador Coordinator, a PTF alumna from the first year of Producing the Future who has already gathered valuable industry experience, and I have no doubt that, with the right guidance, they’ll be ready to leave a lasting impact on Scotland’s creative industries and beyond.

We’re thrilled to see the positive impact our Ambassadors are making, and we look forward to sharing more of their stories and achievements as they continue to contribute to Scotland’s vibrant cultural landscape.

Our work is supported by Creative Scotland through its Multi-Year Funding programme, the City of Edinburg Council, alongside Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, which also contributes to our wider activities. The Robertson Trust pecifically supports our Producing the Future programme, a 10-week training course for young event producers that provides pathways for participants to become our Brand Ambassadors within the Next Level employability programme. Importantly, the Next Level programme is supported by the Regenerative Futures Fund.
