‘Be United Presents: 10 Years of History’ at the Johnnie Walker Princes Street

Be United invites you to a once-in-a-decade event, Be United Presents: 10 Years of History, as we commemorate Black History Month and our 10-year journey supporting Black creatives in Scotland’s performing arts, screen, and cultural events sectors. This special anniversary show will take place on 25th October at the iconic Johnnie Walker Princes Street in Edinburgh, promising a night of celebration and unforgettable performances.

Honouring a Decade of Creativity

For the past decade, Be United has been dedicated to advocating for Black talent, fostering a creative community where diverse voices are celebrated. This event is an opportunity to reflect on our achievements, honour the journey so far, and look forward to an exciting future.

“We’ve had an incredible 10 years working with the community, and this event will be a celebration of everything we’ve achieved together and all that we hope to accomplish in the future. We invite everyone to join us at the show and celebrate with us,” shares Collin Hills, Creative Director at Be United.

An Evening of Incredible Talent

The night will feature Scotland’s finest talents:

Sean Focus: Our headliner and one of the UK’s most promising Afro-Fusion artists, Sean blends melodic vocals and beats to connect Africa with the UK music scene. Originally from Zimbabwe and based in Edinburgh, Sean is one of Be United’s most featured artists.

Ziggy: A soulful artist whose music seamlessly blends R&B, Soul, and Hip-Hop, deeply influenced by her Jamaican heritage. Drawing inspiration from legends like Alicia Keys and Lauryn Hill, her velvety voice and heartfelt lyrics are sure to win over any audience.

DJ Chilli Flakes: Born in San Sebastián to musical parents, Chilli Flakes has a diverse cultural background. Her exposure to Afrobeats and Amapiano during visits to East Africa has profoundly influenced her DJ career. Now based in Edinburgh, she shapes the local music scene while advocating for female representation.
